Julie Persampieri is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping children and families. Julie received her undergraduate degree in psychology at York College of Pennsylvania. She attended University of Maryland, Baltimore, earning her Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health. During her graduate program, Julie participated in the Trauma Education Connection Initiative, which allowed her to develop expertise in working with children and families who have experienced trauma. Julie has worked with children and families in various settings including outpatient therapy practices, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, and schools. Julie uses an individualized approach for each child incorporating play and art into treating a wide range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, OCD, mood disorders/depression, social skills, ADHD, attachment issues, eating disorders/body image, relationship problems, substance abuse, adoption, and self-harm. Her approach emphasizes the importance of play in development and healing.
