About

Jenna McDonough is a master’s level clinician with a strong background in early childhood development and a deep passion for helping children thrive through play therapy. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rivier University and brings over eight years of hands-on experience as an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher.

Jenna’s deep understanding of how children learn, express emotions, and connect with others allows her to create a nurturing therapeutic environment where kids feel safe to be themselves. She meets children where they are—whether through imaginative play, creative expression, or quiet emotional support—helping them explore their feelings and build resilience.

Her sessions are designed to be both joyful and purposeful, blending evidence-based techniques with a warm, attuned presence that fosters trust and growth. Jenna is particularly skilled at helping children manage anxiety, navigate transitions, and overcome behavioral or emotional challenges.

With her calm, compassionate approach, Jenna partners closely with caregivers to support each child’s unique developmental needs. Through play, creativity, and connection, she helps children express themselves freely, strengthen confidence, and build the emotional tools they need to flourish—one playful step at a time.
