About

Katey McNeil is a master’s level mental health counselor dedicated to supporting children and adolescents through play-centered therapeutic approaches. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Stonehill College and, after years in the business field, was inspired to pursue her passion for helping others by earning her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University.

Katey began her clinical career working in an inpatient psychiatric unit where she focused on dual diagnosis and addictions. Her experience in this high-acuity environment provided a strong foundation in understanding the complexities of mental health and the importance of compassionate, individualized care.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Katey became particularly motivated to work with children and adolescents, recognizing the profound impact the experience had on their emotional and social development. She now uses play-centered therapy to help clients develop coping skills, strengthen emotional regulation, reduce anxiety, and gain greater self-awareness.

Katey’s warm and supportive approach encourages children to explore their feelings and build resilience in a safe, creative space, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.
