Jenna is currently a second year intern working towards her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rivier University. She received her undergraduate degree from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Jenna’s career began in childcare, where she has spent the past 8 years working as an infant, toddler, and preschool teacher.
Jenna brings a unique set of skills and experiences to the table, cultivated through her work in childcare and her deep understanding of child development. Her time in childcare has allowed her to hone her ability to engage with children in a playful and nurturing manner, fostering a safe and supportive environment for their growth and exploration.
Through hands-on experience, Jenna developed a keen eye for recognizing and addressing children’s emotional needs, while also understanding the importance of play in their cognitive and social development. Her background in child development equips her with the knowledge and tools to adapt her therapeutic approach to meet each child’s individual needs.
Combining her practical skills from working in childcare with her theoretical understanding of child development, Jenna creates a dynamic and empathetic space for children to express themselves, process their emotions, and build essential skills for healthy development. Her passion for helping children navigate their inner worlds and build resilience drives her commitment to providing thoughtful and impactful work with children.
