Katey received her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Stonehill College. After working years in the business field, she was drawn to the mental health field and received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University. She worked in an inpatient psychiatric unit mainly focusing on dual diagnosis and addictions. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it had on children and adolescents, Katey felt compelled to work with children and help them navigate the post-pandemic landscape. Katey uses play-centered therapy to help clients develop better coping skills, improve self-regulation, reduce anxiety and develop a better sense of awareness around their thoughts and feelings.
