Kimberly Mossman is an LICSW with an educational Specialist degree in Play Therapy. She is also certified as a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist with extensive knowledge on the effects of trauma on children. She has over 15 years experience working with children and has experience supervising clinicians both novice and experienced who work with complex cases. Her work at the District Attorney’s office gives her a unique legal perspective on cases, while her training in play therapy allows her to understand the intricacies of working with children who have experienced a wide range of traumas.
Her approach to supervision is to meet you where you are at. She believes in offering a safe place where you can explore experientially the play therapy process while also providing education as to why certain techniques are better than others with your specific clients. Schedules are flexible as is how supervision takes place. You will have the choice to meet one on one for an hour in her office to review and consult on cases, you can meet online through a HIPAA compliant portal, or you can rent out her play space and have supervision directly after a session to address immediate clinical needs while they are fresh in your mind. It depends on your needs and how you learn best.
Kimberly also offers consultation on specific cases on an as needed basis. If you are currently employed and have a supervisor or are not in need of regular supervision, but have a tricky case that you need feed back on Kimberly can help with that as well. We can consult as many times as needed and as often as you feel is necessary.
